Wow, my title is a bit more than corny haha...
Anyhoo, hello to all who is reading this. I guess this is where I tell my story? Here goes.
Flash back to when I was about 8 (which was more than a decade ago). My cousins came over and said they HAD to watch some cartoon called Sailor Moon at 3 in the afternoon. So we stopped playing video games to watch this cartoon that obviously had my cousins entranced. I laughed when a witch stated, "Those Sailor Scouts think they can stop me?" because she called them SCOUTS, making them sound like they were selling cookies! I couldn't get over it, until I looked at my cousins; speechless. It was also an episode where this blonde-headed girl with balls in her hair was fighting an insanely large witch shooting black electricity at her... with a wand shaped like a moon. ?.? Color me confused.
Until I noticed that the ball-headed girl started crying and gaining confidence, asking for her friends help. "Her friends are dead. What can they do?" I thought. Until their hands started reaching for the moon-shaped wand to help her. Little did I realize that I was observing one of the first MAJOR battles that this ball-headed girl would come across.
At that moment, I realized... I had to watch this show. Serena... Usagi... Bunny, anyway I saw it, I fell head over heels for that ball-headed girl known as Sailor Moon.
Flash to a few years ago. I won't lie, I stopped watching Sailor Moon for the longest of times when Cartoon Network cancelled it. Albeit, I recorded the show MANY times, but never cared to watch them. But when I started seeing it show up on Kids WB for a brief time, or in the morning on a local Fox station, I watched it. Then they stopped. Then I stopped watching.
Flash to a few months ago... At complete random, I decided to watch Hearts In Ice (my fav Sailor Moon movie). After watching it, I couldn't help but think why I stopped watching the awesomeness of that Pretty Soldier in boots fighting with Pink Explosions (what I always called it hehe...). So I went to a little site known as Youtube.com.
I typed 'Sailor Moon episode' in the search box and came up with dozens upon hundreds of results. I went for the episode when the Scouts defeat Nehellenia for good; little did I know, I was watching something that never came to U.S. So I went for the next episode in line: The Stars season. Watched the whole friggin' season. Personally my most favorite (next to the Alan & Anne arc).
Flash to the VERY today. I spent all day and night creating a video. If it was about Steven Speilberg (not dissing him in any way), I probably would have stopped after my computer froze for about the ump-teenth time. But it wasn't about Speilberg; it was about SAILOR MOON. So I had to finish it. And I did.
Sorry for this VERY boring entrance scene, but I wanted to say my entire story and NOT lie. I HAVE forgotten about Sailor Moon over the years, and I wanted you to know that. But now I'm back, and the way it's staying is by me making videos.
So I hope I didn't put anyone to sleep with this. It was fun typing this and remembering how I got into Sailor Moon, anyway.
[by the way, I watched Hearts In Ice again today! ]
