Ok, I felt compelled to make a post in here since there were no posts about PGSM. Anyway, I really want to buy the DVD's for the series but they are so damn expensive! ;_; Why must the japanese sell DVD's for like 60 bucks a pop? I also want to get the DVD's from the anime series because they were remastered, but those as well are 60 bucks a pop. How do they do it?!?! *sigh* I would really like them to continue the series. I loved it a lot, even though it was majorly cheesy, but that's Sailormoon you know? Mixed in with a whole lot of laughs and tears!

OMG YAY PGSM.
I don't know if I would even bother buying them, I just downloaded practically everything that had to do with the series. :X I'm hoping someone rips and subs the dvds, and puts them up for download. Hehe.

lol Yes, it wouldn't be nice enough to continue into the Black Moon arc. They were already going more by the manga guidelines than the anime (as with the musicals as well), so why not introduce Chibi-Usa and include Chibi Moon and Pluto. I mean, it's an incomplete storyline if they only stop where they did. VERY incomplete. It could be budget issues, but I think that could probably helped by the fans anyway, you know?

Well, I wouldn't say it's that incomplete. Usagi and Mamoru did get married, and all the girls lost their powers and moved on to their normal lives; I think that's a pretty decent ending (despite my own want of more if the special hadn't happened). Chibi Usa does appear in the end, in Usagi's tummy. :D
And actually, no, it wouldn't have been helped by the fans. PGSM was doing so-so in the ratings, hence the cancellation. To be perfectly honest, the Sailor Moon boat has already passed, I was kind of surprised a live action version was made.

I don't think it'll ever pass as long as it has fans. If it really died, fans wouldn't be writing fanfics and drawing fanart and keeping PGSM sites updated.

Well, there's always going to be fans, but Sailor Moon isn't as popular as it used to be. PGSM tried to resurrect Sailor Moon, and it didn't do very well. That's apparent by the cancellation and none of the English translation rights being bought back outside of Japan. So yeah, the franchise is pretty much dead, save for the few figures and things Sailor Moon World Japan distributes once in a while.
Sailor Moon just isn't worth marketing anymore. The cartoon and comic are outdated, the musicals are creepy, and PGSM would have an even smaller following than it did in Japan; and that's without remembering that Sailor Moon is a children's show, and not many young girls are going to be interested. It's not bright and shiny anymore.
What we do now really isn't going to have an effect on the franchise. It's up to whether or not Naoko would want to market Sailor Moon again, and if someone would be willing to gamble on the success and pick it up-- it's all about money, something SM isn't.

Of course, it would be awesome if PGSM had the Outer Senshi. Totally awesome. The live action series didn't really interest me that much. I mean I like it, but that whole plushie thing is wierd o___O

True. It also kind of bothered me that Luna was a little girl as opposed to being older in the S Movie and manga. It made me miss Chibi Moon...

I really did not like human Luna. I would of much more preferred an adult Luna or no human Luna at all. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I would of rather taken Chibi-Usa over that little abnoxious weird child, lol.

I'd have to say, Sailor Moon was meant to be kept for the teenage group. DiC cut out all those scenes. At least DiC saved it from Saban. (Not just girls, because Kevin here owns a SM site and I know several guy fans as well.) PGSM was meant to be a treat for those of the anime and manga in Japan and around the world as well. It added a change to Sailor Moon that made fans enjoy it very much. It got better viewing than the musicals and I'm very glad for that. (At least I can say the musicals had manga characters unlike the anime.) PGSM would be nice if they continued it because I know the actors would enjoy it. Also, for the grand finale on the Special, I enjoyed it but I really think if they could bend the rules a bit in the anime for example the last battle them loosing their memories, they could easily get their powers back by some odd reason.

Sailor Moon is a children's show (specifically for young girls around the age of 10). It always has been and it always will be.

I don't think so, just because the dub didn't have anything American censors find adult (except for incestual cousins o.o). Perhaps they mistook Toonami for Adult Swim since a lot of Toonami shows went into the Adult Swim lineup?
Though, come to think of it, I think it might have aired on Adult Swim once as like...a special deal or whatever.
